Hey, if I were to put a name

On a storage box for these shards of memories,

“Treasure” would be perfect.

Right, we’ve passed through these heart-throbbing days

Filling in every bit

Of empty space inside our hearts.

The uniform and indoor shoes I’m used to,

The scribbles on the whiteboard -

I guess I have to leave them behind

At the entrance to tomorrow.

But I was able to meet a wonderful angel!

Graduation isn’t the end,

Our matching keychains -

They’ll always be shining bright.

Softly cover the floor

Of the hallways after school -

It would have been nice if we could have stayed like this until then.

But I touched an angel that was meant to be loved.

She makes me want to say, “I’m home!”

This place won’t change.

The messages in my inbox,

The circled calendar dates -

The station platform, the road by the river -

Even if we’re apart, let’s look up at the same sky
